Clinical registry collecting data on patients who have undergone transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI).

start of the project: 09/2010

The aim of the project is to monitor and to assess the therapy of patients treated with TAVI, covering all TAVI procedures performed in the Czech Republic. The TAVI project is part of the Transcatheter Valve Treatment (TCVT) registry, which is a pilot project covering 12 mostly European countries (Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Switzerland and UK).

Primary aims of the project:

  • monitoring the overall number of patients treated in the Czech Republic (epidemiology),
  • assessment of treatment safety,
  • assessment of treatment effectiveness.

Secondary aims of the project:

  • publication outputs,
  • analytical support to involved centres,
  • analysis of patients' survival in relation to monitored clinical factors,
  • analysis of patient cohort treated with TAVI in relation to Czech reference population data,
  • supporting TAVI procedures in the Czech Republic, comparison with other countries,
  • connection to European registries.
